The people of Eurasia have now a better understanding of the teachings of Fethullah Gulen. Gulen wants everyone to walk on the path of righteousness; the schools established through his initiatives teach friendship, peace and love.
Published in Russian and Turkish in Turkey, Russia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, the journal DA (Dialogue Eurasia) became a printing body that promotes dialogue development between people and cultures. The same is repeated in the motto of the journal: “Dialogue begins with “DA” (means "yes", in Russian).
A special edition of Journal DA is on the newsstands. The latest issue features essays by the intellectuals of Eurasia writing about the different visions of Turkish Islamic scholar Fethullah Gulen.

Gulen Movement - An Example to the 'Committed Core' in Promoting Peace through Education

An international group of educators and convened for the inaugural "Peacebuilding Through Education" summit sponsored by Fountain Magazine, the Peace Islands Institute and co-sponsored by regional universities as well as the Alliance for Shared Values. The goal of the summit was to show how lessons of tolerance, understanding and intercultural respect can be woven into classroom curriculum or extracurricular activities. Throughout the day, speakers offered insights and strategies for building character in the classroom and creating a safe learning environment to incubate future leaders of more peaceful communities.

Last week New York City hosted the United Nations General Assembly, the Clinton Global Initiative and the Education Nation conference. These massive events focus on international diplomacy and peace, societal problem-solving and improving classroom instruction. However, just a few blocks away from these grand assemblies, a smaller group met for the first time to tackle all these issues with a single, bold strategy.

The nonviolent and peaceful lifestyle of Fethullah Gulen reflects the Sufi belief that love is the essential element in every creature. Gulen’s own love extends to the entire universe, which is meant to be “read” by human beings in order to achieve faith, knowledge, and closeness to God. With traditional Sufi theology, Gulen relates the inner meaning of the Qur’an to the inner meaning of the natural world. The Qur’an and the universe are two expressions of the same truth.

Fethullah Gulen Condemns 9/11 Terrorist Attacks

When 9/11 attacks took place, Fethullah Gulen was one of the first Islamic scholar to step forward and unequivocally condemn such acts. Fethullah Gulen said:
Terror can never be used in the name of Islam or for the sake of any Islamic end. Acts such as random killing, suicide bombings and kidnapping are completely forbidden in Islam and can never be undertaken whatever circumstance condition. Those who kill one innocent person through such acts are considered in Islam to have killed the whole humankind. A terrorist can not be a Muslim and a Muslim can not be terrorist. A Muslim can only be representative as a symbol of peace, well-being and prosperity.
