BBC interviews Fethullah Gulen

Speaking to the BBC's Newshour, Fethullah Gulen said: "It is not possible for these judges and prosecutors to receive orders from me."

Fethullah Gulen has been called Turkey's second most powerful man. He is also a recluse, who lives in self-imposed exile in the US.

An apparent power struggle between his followers and those around the Turkish Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has reached a new pitch of intensity and loathing.
Since arriving in the US in the late 1990s, Mr Gulen, 74, has not given a single broadcast interview. What rare communication there has been with the media has almost exclusively been conducted via email.

Iftar Dinner by Turkish Cultural Center at Westchester Reform Temple

It was a gathering of about 200 people July 9 at Westchester Reform Temple in Scarsdale, awaiting sunset at 8:31 p.m. when the day’s fast of Ramadan could be broken with a festive Turkish-style dinner.

Westchester Reform Temple has had a long tradition of collaboration with the Scarsdale-Hartsdale Women’s Interfaith Council and has shared numerous events with the American Muslim Women’s Association and the Turkish Cultural Council, which co-hosted the event.

Mr. Fethullah Gulen has been named as one of TIME Magazine's 100 most influential people in the world in 2013. TIME recognized Gulen for "preaching a message of tolerance that has won him admirers around the world." The 2013 TIME 100 includes other noted world leaders such as Pope Francis, Aung San Suu Kyi, Malala Yousafzai and President Obama. In the past, TIME has honored global leaders such as the Dalai Lama and Pope Benedict XVI in their TIME 100 list.

Gulen-inspired Kazakh-Turkish schools win medals in Brazil

Students of the Kazakh-Turkish School have brought 1 silver and 3 gold medals for their mathematics projects from Brazil. They took part in the 27th International fair of projects in the field of technology. About two thousand students from 50 countries presented over five hundred scientific works in the competition. Abai Kozhabergenov was one of them. The prize-winner of various regional contests and international mathematics competitions is no stranger to victories.

Hira Magazine Brings Together Arab Scholars in Istanbul

Egypt’s prominent scholars came together at a conference titled “According to Gülen, the Basic Dynamics of the Resurrection” on Thursday in Istanbul. The Egyptian scholars have shared the results of their study on “the horizon of thought” of the scholar Fethullah Gülen.

Nevzat Savaş, the editor-in-chief of Hira magazine, said “We hosted guests from some of the leading universities in Egypt such as Cairo University, Darul Uloom Faculty and Azhar University.”

The people of Eurasia have now a better understanding of the teachings of Fethullah Gulen. Gulen wants everyone to walk on the path of righteousness; the schools established through his initiatives teach friendship, peace and love.

Published in Russian and Turkish in Turkey, Russia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, the journal DA (Dialogue Eurasia) became a printing body that promotes dialogue development between people and cultures. The same is repeated in the motto of the journal: “Dialogue begins with “DA” (means "yes", in Russian).

A special edition of Journal DA is on the newsstands. The latest issue features essays by the intellectuals of Eurasia writing about the different visions of Turkish Islamic scholar Fethullah Gulen.
