In a panel discussion held at Georgetown University's Berkeley Center, Mohammed Abu-Nimer of American University points out that one important character of Fethullah Gulen and the Gulen Movement is the movement's refusal to engage in partisan politics.

Gulen Endorses Reform Package, Calls for 'Yes' Vote

Among other things, the reform package includes changes to the structure of the Constitutional Court and the Supreme Board of Judges and Prosecutors. The package also repeals Turkish Constitution’s Article 15 which gives immunity to the generals responsible for the September 12, 1980 coup.
