Gulen Institute welcomed Hon. Vicente Fox [55th President of Mexico - from 2000 to 2006] at the luncheon forum organized by the Gulen Institute in Hilton Americas on May 3, 2011.

He shared that education is the key to success and the face of a nation can change from one generation to the next through its education system. He shares view of education with Saint Ignatius De Loyola and Fethullah Gulen. However, education alone cannot be the sole solution.

Serving others is a benefit not only to humanity but to the individual. “Only way to reach happiness is precisely to be committed for others” stated President Fox. He commented “we have many things in common. We just have to read Muhammad, we just have to read about Orthodox Church and Patriarch we have visited in Istanbul, and we just have to read about Gulen Institute and Mr. Gulen.”

“But is very unfortunate is that many of us will not do the exercise Gulen did, like Mahatma Gandhi did, like Nelson Mandela did, or like Martin Luther King to work within ourselves, to learn who we are, to discover our capacities and our leadership, to define the purpose, the purpose of our life, and the purpose of our actions”, he added.

"I have the opportunity to meet this organization (Gulen Institute), I have the opportunity to read the philosophy of Mr. Gulen. The exercise that we are doing today is an exercise that goes on the right path" says President Vicente Fox.
